Jimmy and Sacha arrive at the Shire!

Normally William (BIll) Board would have written this for me, but with the big election happening in the states he’s on a top secret assignment, and well: basically I’ve already said to much.
Tim, Katie, Emma and the shiny, new, warmly welcomed addition Oliver,( as a proud uncle I can boast he’s a strong and handsome baby),are safely installed in Sunnybrook near Lunenburg.
My sweet wife Sacha just arrived about month ago, and is having great success so far with starting a belly dance studio. Her goal to help connect the North Eastern US and Canadian belly dance community is well on it’s way. Myself being a great advocate of the arts, am of-course especially interested in this wonderful form of dance, I could suggest (at this point) if you’re not already familiar with belly dance to investigate directly. Check out www.bellydancenovascotia.com for more info!
As for yours truly James Joseph Condon, I’ve been occupying my time between working for a local carpentry company called Gram Construction, collecting fire wood, making repairs to the Horton House and preparing for what looks like could be the best summer yet for the Shire.
Sacha and I have many gardening ideas and are looking forward to next year’s planting season. Which will include more trees, squash, beets and a plethora of other vegetable action.
In conjunction with a local gardener, fisherman and brew master, We’re trying to invent a menu for next summer that 80% of the food would come from no more than a thirty mile radius. We’ve prepared two such repasts so far, the outcome was delicious. I can promises exceptional food though it may take a while yet with it all being local, the goal is there. Any of you coming to an event this summer can contact me with any information you may have to help us succeed with this objective.
For my benediction I would like to make a ceremonious invitation to those of you who love the Shire. Come for a weekend of nature festivities and community living. Including, boating, walking trails, aforementioned food, nightly campfires, and unforeseeable human practices. Check out the flyer here: shire mates.pdf
We live in interesting times, I’m not sure if that’s a curse or a gift. So bring what you know and join us this on weekend at “The wired and wonderful Shire’s Nature appreciation celebration”.
Your friend Jimmy
